    Warm-Up: What is the meaning of affixes?  What do we mean by suffix? How can we add a suffix to a word?

    Class objectives
    In this class, we will introduce some suffixes for adjectives. Then, we will work on some words that we did the last lesson, and change them into adjectives by using the appropriate suffix.

    There are many suffixes for adjectives like: -ive, -al, -able , -less, -ful, -ent, -ing, -ish, -ly, and so many.   Examples such as beautiful, careless, productive, friendly, foolish, accidental, interesting, excellent, avoidable ...ect.    The suffixes we will study in this lesson are: -ive -ing -al -able -ous Note:  (-ing) & (-ed) can even add to form verbs just be careful when you use it in context :)

    These suffixes can be added  to verbs or noun to have the adjective form:  (-ive Ex: Attract, Attractive (-ing) Ex. relax, relaxing (-al). Ex. Operation, operational (-able). EX. Drink, drinkable (-ous). Ex. continue, continuous
