Slide 1

    Fundamentalism
Fundamentalists believe that the Word of God is 100% true. They believe events such as the feeding of 5000, the virgin birth and the creation of the world and humans happened, exactly as the Bible describes.

Slide 2

    Liberal Christianity
Although they believe that the Bible is the Word of God, because people wrote it down, they have made mistakes. They argue that not everything in the Bible is literally true. For example, a liberal Christian may see the creation story in Genesis as a demonstration of God's ability to create the world. Some liberalists argue that God may have even started the Big Bang or the process of evolution.  Can Creationism and Evolution both be right?

    Summary of Genesis
God planted the Garden of Eden, and put Adam in the garden. (Gen 2:8) He told Adam he could eat any fruit, but he was forbidden to eat from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, or he would die. (Gen 2:16-17) God made Eve from one of Adam's ribs while he slept, and brought her to him. (Gen 2:22) The serpent tempted Eve by asking, 'Did God really say "You must not eat from any tree in the garden".? Eve starts to think about this, and believes the serpent when he tells her she won't die. (Gen 3:1-4) Eve is persuaded, and eats from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. She gives the fruit to Adam to eat. They then realised they were naked and covered themselves. (Gen 3:6-7)
They tried to hide from God, but God found out what they had done. (Gen 3:8-11) Adam blames Eve, and Eve blames the serpent. (Gen 3:12-13) God curses the serpent and tells him he will always 'crawl on his belly.' (Gen 3:14-15) God administers punishment to Eve; pain in childbirth and the man being given authority over her. (Gen 3:16) God administers punishment to Adam; working all his life. (Gen 3:17) Adam and Eve have to leave the Garden of Eden. (Gen 3:24)
