Everyone has a different way they like to approach their studies. What may work for one person may not work for the next. Let’s look at the three types of study techniques according to Learning Info:
Association-This is when our minds make a connection between ideas, memories, etc.
Visual- The use of pictures or any form of visual aid
Brain stimulation- The use of slow background music helps process information by reducing frequency of brain waves.

Concept mind maps
The main idea, subject or focus is crystallized in a
central image.

The main themes radiate from the central image as 'branches'.

The branches comprise a key image or key word drawn or
printed on its associated line.

Topics of lesser importance are represented as 'twigs'
of the relevant branch.

The branches form a connected nodal structure.
Use white space to separate major ideas.

Try to limit your notes to one concept or section per
page.

Use abbreviations and/or symbols where possible to
avoid long sentences.

Write down the information in your own words.
Adjust the note-taking style to fit both your needs and the
speakers.
Assign each subject a colour. It will be
easier to navigate your timetable
Factor in time for BREAKS. And other fairly important
things like food and sleep. ( 5 minute break every hour )
Be flexible with what
you’ve written and be prepared to move things around if you find that your
estimations of time were a bit off.
Give yourself a mix of subjects each day so that you
decrease your chances of losing interest really quickly
