Film comparison: The first rough cut of the film we did was ok. However we used ketchup for fake blood and the results didn't look very realistic. The amount of filters and effect applied to the shots were very limited and the quality overall of the shots were not arranged in a particularly good order which made sense to the viewer. The shots did not vary and we therefore lost the viewers interest(too much walking backwards). After improvements the final cut was a much better attempt at making a horror film. The makeup was better as we didn't use ketchup as fake blood, there were more filters and audio effects added in and the shots were interesting and grasped the viewers attention(less walking backwards). In my opinion this process of doing the rough cut first and learning from our mistakes in my opinion helped us achieve a better end result in the form of our final finished horror film.
