    Baroque Period
    The term Baroque refers to an artistic and literary period of the seventeenth century, which contrasts in many ways with the Renaissance of the previous century. It begins in the early seventeenth century or the late XVI which It is a time of instability, anxiety, pessimism and, above all, heartbreak.

    · There is a rejection of the expressions of modern ideology that occur in other European countries; hence the country is closed to all cultural contact with the rest of the continent. · Overuse of hyperbaton and ellipsis: disorder in the logical organization of the sentence and paragraph. ·  Use of neologisms and archaisms.

    Neoclassical dramatists and critics, especially in 17th-century France, derived from Aristotle what they called the unities of time, action, and place. This meant that the action of a play should not.   Neoclassicism, especially in its 18th-century developments, confused—for ordinary minds. The leading theorists of that revolt, the poets William Wordsworth and Samuel Taylor Coleridge, in the “Preface” (1800) to Lyrical Ballads urged the observance of a few simple rules basic to all great poetry and demanded a return to the integrity of expressive form.

    Romanticism
    The Romantic period was an artistic, literary, and intellectual movement that originated in Germany toward the end of the 18th century. Its characterized by its emphasis on emotion and individualism as well as glorification of all the past and nature, preferring the medieval rather than the classical.
