Here one of the activities regarding the project: Health: starts from breakfast! What
do we eat for breakfast?
You can realize this activity after an activity of icebreaking and an
activity to introduce school, city and Country!
Age of students: 14/18

Subjects: Nutrition science, Physical Education, Health Studies,
Biology, Food industries
Deadline: two months

Aims:
1. Work in team to identify
and discriminate foods suitable for healthy breakfast.
2. Understand that breakfast
is a basic need to face the day.
3. Become aware of proper
nutrition
4. improve ICT Skills;
5. improve specific foreign
language;
Work Process (1)1 step: students have to read some articles and see some videos (selected by
teachers) posted on twinspace about the importance to have breakfast and in the
same time a healthy breakfast.
2 step:
students have to comment in apposite forum (twinspace) about what they read and
to tell if they have breakfast or not, what they eat for breakfast, and comment
at least three posts of their peers.
3 step: students have to work in group realizing a mindmap with
realtimeboard.com. They have to start from “Healthy breakfast” and indicate
benefits to have breakfast, healty food, food to avoid, how much to eat, etc…
4 step: to conclude this activity, students have to work together to prepare a
short ebook of recipes of healthy breakfast using madmagz.com (at least 5
different recipes of healthy breakfast) where each partner provides a
contribute with his typical food.
A more complete knowledge of how to classify and
recognize foods, necessary for a correct and healthy breakfast, according to
their composition, capacity for teamwork, knowledge of different cultures and
