Reading 73 After working with Freud for some time, C.G. Jung developed his own theory, which he called "analytical psychology" or the "psychology of complexes" Jung divided the unconscious into two forms: personal and collective. Here, the personal unconscious roughly corresponds to Freud's idea of the unconscious, which contains the individual's forgotten or repressed thoughts and feelings. On the other hand, the collective unconscious is shared by all of humanity. Its content is independent of a person's culture, ethnicity, or life history. Many basic human themes can be found, for example, in legends and fairy tales. These so-called "archetypes" are similar across diverse cultures and time periods. Some examples of these archetypes include characters such as heroes and monsters.  vocab analytical psychology: 분석 심리학 psychology of complexes: 콤플렉스 심리학 collective: 집단적인 repressed: 억압된 ethnicity: 민족성 archetypes: 원형

Reading 74   Hare and rabbits are rodents, which means both of them have long, sharp front teeth. Their hind legs are longer than their forelegs, so that they actually run faster uphill than downhill. When they are pursued, they resort to clever tricks. One is to crisscross their tracks and the other is to take huge leaps in order to break the scent. They can also signal danger to each other by thumping the ground with their hind feet. Yet there are many differences between hares and rabbits. Hares do not dig burrows or live in groups, and they are born furry, while rabbits are born blind and hairless. Hares and rabbits never mate. vocab pursued: 쫒기다. 추구하다 resort to: 의존하다.  rodents: 설치류, 중치류 crisscross: 종횡으로 움직이다
