Women weren't valued because they weren't as physically strong. The ranch 'ain't no place for a girl'. Women were seen as possessions and were only there to serve men. Women who were unhappy with that role, were seen as delusional and inappropriate.
Women had fewer legal rights and career opportunities than men.
Worked as prostitutes, actresses, flappers... However, motherhood and wifehood were seen as their biggest role.
Women had the desire to become famous and glamorous actresses in the Hollywood Golden Era.
Even if a woman worked more than a man, she would have a lower wage.
