Monday, 18th June 2018  -   Greetings and Introductions -   When meeting some for the first time there are many ways in which you can introduce yourself:   はじめまして = Nice to meet you どうぞよろしく= Please to meet you/ take care of me When using ’どうぞよろしく’ remember this is used when meeting someone for business purposes or introducing yourself in front of a class. When introducing yourself, asking the name of the other person  or telling them your name helps get to know each other and make the conversation flow.  お名前は何ですか = What is your name? 私の名前は…です = My name is... 私は...です = I am あなたは? = and you? Normal introductions throughout the day are: おはようございます = Good Morning こんにちは = Good Afternoon こんばんは = Good Evening  もしもし = Hello (used only when greeting someone over the phone) When departing there are many different ways to farewell someone: さようなら = Goodbye バイバイ = Bye-Bye またあした = See you tomorrow じゃね = See you later

Monday, 18th June 2018 -    Verbs -    Irregular Verbs: There are only two Japanese verbs that are irregular which are くる meaning to come and する meaning to do.    Ichidan Verbs: In the dictionary form Ichidan verbs all end in either いる or える. あげる = raise; lift-up; give でる = leave; exit; go out はれる = clear up  いる = be located きる = put on (clothes); wear 見る = see;watch;look おちる = Fall;come/go down 食べる = Eat   Yodan Verbs: The dictionary form for Yodan Verbs can end in one f the following nine endings; う、つ、る、く、ぐ、す、ぬ、む、ぶ. Depending on the ending of a verb determines which verb group it belongs to.
