Paper Chromatography= Separates colours based on solubility and attraction to paper.Distillation= enables you to retain both the solute and the solvent from a solution.Filtration= Mechanical process of separating solids, Maple sap is a very diluted version of maple syrup because it has boiled off to just the flavour and the sugar. Evaporation= Changing a liquid into a gas, often under the influence of heat. (boiling water) Distillation= Purifying a liquid by heating and cooling it. (oil) It is often easier because the components are often larger, and solid. It thinks it makes the texture of flour thinner, and also softer because there are less large chunks. 6. You would repeatedly heat and cool the water in a process called distillation, until you were satisfied it is clean. 7. They might sift the soil because it removes the larger chunks of dirt and lets the more finely broken down bits through.
