A bunsen burner is used for heating chemicals in the laboratory.Luminous flame: Occurs when you close the air-hole Has an unsteady flame, is not hot, has soot Can be seen from afar because it is orange The inner part of the flame is dark blue because it contains unburnt gas. The hottest part of the flame is just above the dark blue (unburnt gas)
