Globalisation

Globalisation is when a business sets up operations in, sells to, etc. other countries. This has made the world become increasingly one market. For example, McDonalds have franchises of it in India and China.   One of the problems encountered by globalisation is language barriers and cultural differences. For example, in India, the majority of the population is Hindu, and eating beef has become illegal. Since this is the majority of McDonald's menu, McDonalds have a vegan menu to accommodate to this. Another example is China, and because of the Chinese New Year, McDonalds must have a seasonal menu so as to fit in with this and encourage sales throughout this period. If they were to have done so at the end of December / beginning of January, this would have been very silly.
