The prefixes used in the metric system is the beginning of a word on a base chart. You can tell if a measurement is a base unit because it only has one letter.

This is an example of prefixes used in the metric system .

Steps of the Scientific Method:Identify the problem: Formulate a research question that can be tested. Research: Use all background knowledge and research what others know.Form a hypothesis: An educated guess for the answer to the question. Design and perform an experiment: If your experiment is not designed, well you might not have the right answer.

NOTES!Independent Variable- Variables that are manipulated to promote change in an experiment. Dependent Variable- The variable that is being measured. Control- Part of an experiment that is used for comparison. Allows scientist to study one variable at a time. Constant(s)- A characteristic or condition that is the same throughout the study.Collect and analyze data- Your dependent variable measures the results of the experiments. Data could be (#) or words. Analyzing data allows us to interpret the results.Draw a conclusion- Does the data suggest your hypothesis should be rejected or not rejected.
