Types of behavioural learning: classical conditioning operant conditioning observational learning Classical conditioning involves the association of a neutral stimulus with an unconditioned one which over time will elicit a conditioned response. Operant conditioning uses positive reinforcement and punishment to manipulate behaviour. Behaviour that is rewarded is more likely to be repeated as opposed to behaviour that is punished Observational learning involves observing and subsequently mimicking the behaviour of others. Also known as social learning, it has 4 stages: attention, retention, reproduction, and motivation.
