TWO MAIN SITUATIONS ARE COVERED; 1) unauthorised improvement of anothers property2) performance of anothers obligationclaims for ' the repair or improvement of B's property by the possessor of the property, A , who erroneously believes eitheri) that he A was the ownerii) that C was the owner ( a party who intended to be enriched by the improvements )requirements;1) good faith possession ( lack of knowledge by imp. that they had no right)- bad faith (knowledge that they lacked right) = no recovery ( BARBOUR)- exception- perhaps rec. for necessary repairs and maintenance2) imp' must have been in error believing self to be owner.
