1. 1/2 x b x h

There are 3 common formulae for the area of a triangle.

1.

- Area = 1/2 x b x h

- This formula is only useful if we know h, the perpendicular height.

2.

- This formula is useful if we know the length of any two sides and the angle at which they meet

3. 

- Known as Heron's formula.

-Can be used when you know the length of all three sides.
