Their major functions being protection,storage and supportThe APPENDICULAR skeleton refers of limbs and girdles to which they attach. Their major functions being, providing a framework for movement storageand the manufacturing of blood cells  Ligaments and TendonsTendons are fibrous connective tissue that connects muscle to bone, they pull on muscle to allow movement Ligaments are fibrous elastic connective tissue that connects bone to bone, they often limit movement and maintain stability Three main roles of muscle systemSMOOTH MUSCLE: responsible for the contractility of hollow organsSKELETAL: used for locomotion to allow the body to moveCARDIAC:responsible for pumping blood through heart chambers to the blood vessels AGONIST: contracting muscle ANTAGONIST: relaxing muscle WHITE: FAST TWITCH: muscle fibres that contract fast used in high impact sportsRED:SLOW TWITCH:muscle fibres that contract slow and  can work for longer and do not tire easily
