Use WOULD, MIGHT or COULD.Structure: IF + PAST TENSE/SIMPLE PAST + COMPLEMENT + , + SUBJECT + MODAL VERB + PRESENT TENSE + COMPLEMENTIf I were you, I would wait for a while before contacting them.3rd - Talking about the imaginary result of a situation in the past. Use WOULD, MIGHT or COULD always with HAVE.Structure: PAST PERFECT + PRESENT PERFECTI would'n have come if had known that you were ill.Mixed - Talking about imagine the present result.
