Othello Character Development Act 1 Scene 2Othello will not take rash action against Brabantio nor will he play the coward and hide. Assured of his own worth, he is prepared to stand firm and meet Brabantio's charges.            "I must be found:            My parts, my title and my perfect soul            Shall manifest me rightly. Is it they?"When Othello is accosted by the angry Brabantio, he remains calm and dignified. He prevents a fight and answers Brabantio with courtesy:             "Good signior, you shall more command with years               Than with your weapons."Othello's dignity and calmness are impressive on this occasion and we are not surprised that the Duke needs such a man to command against the Turks,
