This shows a constant speed. The slope on a distance time graph represents the speed.
We calculate speed by the equation: speed m/s= distance traveled (m) DIVIDED BY time taken (s)
Velocity= speed in a given direction.
Velocity
Velocity=
Velocity= DISTANCE / TIME.
acceleration is its change of velocity per second. unit= m/s2
any object with a change of velocity is accelerating
Acceleration= change in velocity (m/s) / time taken for change(s)
the slope of the line on a velocity time graph represents acceleration.
To find out the distance traveled on a velocity time graph, ypu use thr area under the line. for example a car was traveling at a velocity of 20 m/s for ten seconds. so you multiply it to find out the distance traveled. i.e 200m
distance when it acclerated would be 0.5 x height x base of triangle.
