Pregunta 5

Pregunta
A hydrogen bond is a [blank_start]weak[blank_end] bond between two molecules resulting in an [blank_start]electrostatic[blank_end] attraction between a [blank_start]proton[blank_end] in one molecule and an [blank_start]electronegative[blank_end] atom in the other.
Respuesta
  • weak
  • strong

Pregunta 10

Pregunta
After fertilisation, the female parts of the flower become [blank_start]fruit[blank_end]. The [blank_start]ovules[blank_end] turn into seeds inside the fruit, and the [blank_start]ovary[blank_end] wall becomes the rest of the fruit. A seed has 3 main parts: the [blank_start]embryo[blank_end] which is the part that will become the adult plant. This has a small root called a [blank_start]radicle[blank_end] and a shoot, or [blank_start]plumule[blank_end]. There is a [blank_start]food store[blank_end], called [blank_start]cotyledon[blank_end] which will keep the plant fed until it can make its own food through [blank_start]photosynthesis[blank_end]. There is also a seed coat, called a [blank_start]testa[blank_end], to [blank_start]protect[blank_end] the seed. When a seed starts to grow this is called [blank_start]germination[blank_end]. To do this a seed needs [blank_start]water[blank_end], [blank_start]oxygen[blank_end] and [blank_start]warmth[blank_end].
Respuesta
  • fruit
  • ovules
  • ovary
  • embryo
  • radicle
  • plumule
  • food store
