This module builds on Introduction to Finance (AF1403) by developing an understanding of the theories and empirical evidence concerning financial management, risk and the operation of capital markets. The module will consider the theoretical, empirical and practical factors, including ethics where appropriate, underlying strategic decisions such as gearing and dividend policy within specified institutional contexts and for specified businesses.
