Effects:
rain changing patterns
less food due to crop failure
Increased heat and drought
Intensified storms due to increased heat
Remember more heat means more energy!
The average storm intensity will increase in future generations
Diapositiva 2
Storms
Stronger storms = economic damage
less sustainable coastal environment
GLobal Warming doesn't cause storms, but it definitely makes them stronger
Property Damages:
power goes out
water goes bad
Diapositiva 3
Carbon
Since 1950, carbon dioxide levels has been going off the charts
carbon has to "bank" before effects actually occur
Even if there were to be no more carbon released into the sky, global warming would continue until it hits a "plateau" point (aka. Flatlines)
Feedback loop: something that accelerates/decelerates a warming trend
Diapositiva 4
Reminders/FYI
Current government is censoring Global Warming
Just because global warming is occurring doesn't mean everyone will experience heat..think about Canada, they will actually experience stronger winters...
loss of water in an area where population is exploding means future inflation of water prices
If prices increase the the wealthy live and the poor die ----- BAD EQUITY
The crossing point on a graph that represents the too little resources to sustain the population is called the "point of unsustainability"
