24. People reconstruct memories each time they remember them

When you ask people to remember information, the wording you use can affect how they remember things.

People will mis-remember things they or others did and said, which makes self-reporting on past events inherently unreliable.

You should take what people say with a grain of salt, if they're remembering experiences with a person or with a product.
