This is also the superlative, but it has 3 parts.
1. THE
2. MOST
3. FAMOUS
With longer adjectives we use MOST + ADJECTIVE

short adjectives = the + adjective(est)
long adjectives = the + most + adjective
Pay special attention to the adjectives with a star(*). They have special spelling rules because they end in 'Y' or they are irregular.
