Our Brain is designed to only take in the most important information. Salient Cues refers to the information we take in that stands out from the rest. We do not even realize how much information we are missing out on. Learning to design with this in mind will help you to be a better designer.

    People only pay attention to the big stuff! Our brains filter out what they think is not important People are unconsciously aware that they have limited brain power which results in the filtering out process. Know what your audience is looking for. Make salient cues obvious. People drift off if overloaded with information.
