The Pentacle is one of my chosen titles, I really like this name because it's different and there is no horror movie like this. Also the meaning of it is unknown to a lot of people therefore people will wonder what it means therefore intrigues them to watch it.The image on the right shows the image of the Pentacle. It is a star and it's meaning is 'A pentacle (also spelled pantacle in Thelema, following Aleister Crowley) is an amulet used in magical evocation, generally made of parchment, paper or metal (although it can be of other materials), on which the symbol of a spirit or energy being evoked is drawn.' This suits my trailer really well because its associated with spirits and ghosts. I like how the name has a hidden meaning and a symbol with it therefore I can combine the sign into my trailer.
Possession suits my trailer really well because in the movie the victim will become possessed. It indicates that the trailer is about spirits and ghosts therefore gives a clue to the audience what the trailer is about. The title also indicates the type of genre the trailer is therefore there is no confusion within the meaning. A lot of trailers use the word 'Possession' in their movie title for example 'The Possession' therefore I fear that the names are too similar. A movie made in 1981 is called 'Possession' therefore my movie could be the modern version however that may mean I'd have to follow the same story line as that movie
Don't let her in is a good title because using an imperative as a title allows the audience to notice that the genre is a horror because of the pronoun 'her' being a mystery. It makes the audience wonder who 'her' is therefore suggests that she is evil. The title makes the audience know that there will be consequences if she enters therefore highlights the fact its a horror movie. The title is a play on 'let the right one in' therefore the audience could confuse them self between the films. In my trailer i want 2 girls as my characters therefore there may be a confusion as to who the title relates to as i don't want it to relate to the victim only the ghost.
