3 Poisons Greed, Ignorante & Hate
Interconnectedness The belief that everything in existence is in some way connected to everything else, and positive or negative actions done will affect more than one individual. (like a ripple effect)
Samsara The circle of birth, death and rebirth which can be overcome by following the noble eightfold path. Samsara is full of Dukkha.
Pre-Existence Life begins even before conception because all living things are caught up in the wheel of samsara. Therefore there is no point in which life 'begins'. - argument for topic of abortion.
The miracle of human life The idea that human life is so uniquely wonderful and special in that in this position one can attain enlightenment. To become human may have taken thousands of previous rebirths (The Blind Turtle)
Bodhisattva 'Enlightened being' - one who delays own enlightenment to help all other living being to gain theres (only Mahayana Buddhism)
Engaged Buddhism Modern Buddhism believes you should be actively seeking to bring about Buddhist ideas and principles in society and law etc.
5 precepts I Undertake to abstain from: 1. Harming life (ahimsa). 2. Taking what is not freely given. 3. Misusing the senses (e.g. sex). 4. Wrong speech. 5. Intoxicants that cloud the mind.
4 Noble Truths Dukka - all life is unsatisfactoriness / suffering. Tanha - unsatisfactoriness is caused by desire. Nirodha - it is possible to stop Dukka. Magga - the way to stop Dukka is the Eightfold path.
3 Marks of Existence Dukka - all life if suffering. Anicca - all life is impermanent. Anatta - no soul / self (we are made by 5 Skamdhas)
5 Skamdhas We are made up of the 5 skamdhas. form (rupa) sensations or feelings, received from form (vedana) perceptions (samjna) mental activity or formations (sankhara), and consciousness (vijnana).

Metta Loving kindness to all living things.
Prajna Paramitas Means: The perfection of wisdom Dana (giving), Sila (morality), Virya (energy), Kshamti (patience), Samadhi (meditation), Prajna (wisdom).
