Pregunta Respuesta
Force - a force is a push or pull - there are two forces acting on all objects: - gravitational force - normal force
Contact Force most forces require contact between objects
Non Contact Force - some forces act at a distance - they don't need contact eg: gravitatonal magnetic electrical
Balanced Forces - when the forces acting on an object are balanced, the object will not change speed or direction
Unbalanced Forces - If the forces acting on an object are unbalanced, the object will accelerate
Forces and Acceleration In science, acceleration means to 'speed up', 'slow down' or 'change direction'
Inertia Newton's first law: Inertia "objects will continue to do what they are doing until an unbalanced force acts on them" - an object moving at a constant speed/direction has constant velocity (balanced forces) - it will continue that unless an additional force acts on it
Vector diagrams vector diagrams state the net magnitude and direction of the force using arrows
