Post Tonal General term for music after 1900 that doesn't adhere to tonality. Instead composers found other ways to organize pitch from atonality to neotonality
Neotonality Music that establishes a pitch as the tonal center but doesn't fallow rules of tonal harmony or counterpoint
Atonality Music that avoid a tonal center or central pitch
Nationalist composer A composer looking for musical independence for their nations from the influence of French, Italian and especial Austrian and German composers (especially Wagner). They were influenced instead by native folk melodies and modality.
