Who is Abigail?	She was an intelligent woman who was married to a wealthy but foolish man. In the bible she was described as beautiful.
What does her name mean?	Abigail's name was derived from two Hebrew words, "Father" and "Happiness" and means "My Father's Happiness."
Who was Nabal?	Nabal was Abigail's first wife. He was a selfish man. His name means "Foolish" or "Senseless" in Hebrew.
Why did David get angry and prepare to slaughter Nabal's family?	David and his men were protecting Nabal's shepherds, and when their camp ran out of food David sent men to Nabal to ask for provisions. But he refused them and shouted at them, his actions deeply insulted David and so he planned revenge.
How did Abigail save her Household?	Her servants all helped her prepare food and wine for David and his men. She bravely approached them with the "Peace Offering", her quick actions saved her family from the tragic disaster that could of been.
Other then the food why was David grateful towards Abigail?	Because she prevented him from the sin of bloodshed.
