The 1st Chinese Civil War (Part 1) Kuomintang was struggling to govern China and control the generals who were struggling for power. After Sun Yat-Sen's death in 1925, Chiang Kai-Shek used the KMT to establish control over china, after it felt strong enough to wipe out the communists.
The 1st Chinese Civil war (Part 2) The Communists escape and embarked on the famous 6,000 mile Long March, which has become part of Chinese Legend. 30,000 survived & a young american journalist, Edgar Snow, met Mao and filmed their small camp at Yenan.
