babble to talk without stopping, usually about unimportant or stupid things, sometimes done to distract oneself or others from serious situations
archaic old-fashioned; this is often used by modern people to comment critically of something from the past with a negative tone. The words "vintage" or "nostalgic" have positive undertones.
ritualized To make something into a system, practice, or behavior that is widely accepted by a group of people and given significance and priority; when behaviors are acted out in a ceremonial manner, they are ritualized. Common in cultural groups or religious groups.
cherish to care for someone or something so much they/it is like a treasure to you.
utterance An utterance is a unit of speech that provides a message that the listener(s) can understand. It is like a "sentence" in writing, but in speaking, utterances don't have punctuation, and aren't always grammatically complete.
rephrase to say / write something with different words so that is better understood
scenario a situation in life that feels like you are inside a movie, there is a set (climate, location, time) and there are people (characters) around you. It can also be a description of a situation you'd like others to imagine.
strides long steps when walking But strides can also mean "to make progress" in good speed.

mainstream the most current (up-to-date) way of thinking that is accepted by a majority of the population you are thinking about or living among.

motherese talking in the manner that many mothers talk to their own young children
stakes the money or other items of value that are gambled (bet) in a particular situation
