Define: 'Access to Safe Water.' | The percentage of people who can get to clean drinking water. |
What is meant by 'Life Expectancy?' | The average age a person can expect to live to. |
Define 'Human Development Index.' | A figure that is calculated by using 'Life Expectancy,' 'Literacy Rate,' 'Education Level' and Income per Head. As a country develops, the number should be higher. :) |

Why do some countries have High GNI (Gross National Income,) and Lower Death Rates? | Because a higher GNI means that more money is available to be spent upon developing healthcare facilities. This leads to treatment which can prevent deaths. |
Why can Development Indicators be misleading? | They are averages; the GNI of a country may be high - yet there could still be a high number of poor people as well. |
