United States v. Lopez The Court ruled that regulating guns did not fall within the scope of the commerce clause, and therefore was not within the powers of the federal government
McDonald v. Chicago S.C. held that a Chicago ban on handguns and regulations on rifles was unconstitutional
Citizens United v. Federal Election Commisions The Court ruled that limits on corporate campaign spending amounted to prohibitions on free speech
