Physics: Light Light is a form of energy and can be converted into other energy forms. Solar Panels -Electricity Photosynthesis - Chemical
Light travels in straight lines. TO show this, set up an experiment like so. White light contains colours we can see under certain conditions. White light is made up of different colours called the spectrum of light. An example of this is a rainbow. The sun shines through the raindrops.
Dispersion: the breaking up of white light into its spectrum colours. (spré) Because of the periscope there is a double reflection so you will be able to see over the obstacle.
If you place a pencil in a glass of water, it looks like if it is bent where it enters the water. This is because of REFRACTION. * Refraction is the bending of light as it passes from one transparent material to another. * (refraction = athraonadh)
Convex lens ; When the light falls on a convex lens it refracts and comes together at a point called the focal point. A prism uses refraction to form a spectrum of coloured light! Thats all for Light, yay!
