Hartley and Sutton (2011) They suggest that the ideal pupil stereotype is also more likely to be applied to girls, including Indian Asian girls, than to boys.
Gillborn (2011) Gillborn, found that this 'ideal pupil' stereotype held my teachers also favors children who are white, and that many teachers simply so not see black children as likely academic success. he found teachers where denying opportunities for Black children. They are more likely to be placed in lower school groups.
Harvey and Slatin (1975) This was an american study and it shows photography of children from different ethnic and social class backgrounds to a sample of 96 primary school teacher, and they found white middle class children where identified as more likely to be successful students. this shows teachers had low expectations of poor people or black people.
