You talk as if we were responsible	Primarily, this is Sheilas early ignorance coming out along with curiosity. It is also Priestley foreshadowing, but it shoes Sheila's concerns especially because she is written as 'cutting in' over her father.
I wont believe its simply my fault	Could be ignorance but is acknowledging her part in being responsible, she is more starting to make connections and realizing she plays a small part
It was I who had the girl turned out of Milwards	In response to being challenged by her father, the divide between the generations is growing
It was my fault she was so desperate when you met her	Sheila feels a new respect for Gerald's honesty and is prepared to give him sympathy and recognize her part in his interaction with Eva
I had her turned out of a job I started it (bitterly)	Sheila is beginning to resent the concept of what she has done, similar to her mother and accepts full responsibility
We drove that girl to commit suicide (flaring up)	Sheila is trying to make the others realize responsibility after the inspector has left and is getting angry at the older generation
