Francois Rabelais Wrote the "Pantagruel" a series of books; wanted his readers to be entertained but also to educate them; works are good illustrations of humanist interest

How was Leonardo da Vinci considered a "Renaissance Man?" Had great intellect and curiosity; he questioned everything; he had master skills - engineering, biology, etc; he had a deep understanding of things; he made inventions, paintings - many accomplishments!
Renaissance Man/Person Refers to an individual who is very curious about many things and also has a deep understanding of many subject areas and to accomplish many things.
