Pregunta Respuesta
Aim To see if criminals had a particular gene that could be responsible for their behaviour
Procedure 12 XYY males interviewed by a independent social worker and a personality test was done
Results XYY had slightly lower levels of intelligence and tended to be more aggressive towards other people than normal XY males. But far more similarities between XYY and XXY than differences
Conclusion Provides limited evidence for XYY males being more aggressive
Strengths Independent social worker didn't know the aim so there was no researcher bias Vast range of tests used to measure different aspects of the men's lives.
Weaknesses Only 12 pps It's only a correlational study Not all criminals are XYY
