1)a. Verb+Ing Try: If you try doing something, you do it in order to see what happens. Example: He tried climbing the mountain, but it was too high.
1)b. Verb+Infinitive Try: If you try to do something, you attempt it but do not necessarily achieve it. Example: He tried to win the competition, but it was too difficult.
2)a. Verb+Ing Stop: If you stop doing something, you do not do it any longer. Example: They stopped playing video-games when i called them.
2)b. Verb+Infinitive Stop: If you stop to do something, you come to a halt in order to do something. Example: He stopped to rest.
3)a. Verb+Ing Remenber: If you remeber doing something, you have an image of doing it in your mind. Example: I remember playing soccer with my cousin when we were younger.
3)b. Verb+Infinitive Remeber: If you remenber to do something, you do somenthing which is on your mental listof things do to. Example: Did you remenber to do the homework.
4)a. Verb+Ing Go on: If you go on doing somenthing, you continue doing it. Example: "He went on watching TV for hours."
4)b. Verb+Infinitive Go on: If you go on to do somenthing, you move from one action to another. Example: "The man served himself, then he went on to eat."
Verb+Object+Ing See: We can use see+object+Ing to talk about an action that is in progress. Example: "He saw two kids crossing the street."
Verb+Object+Infinitive See: We can use see+object+infinitive without to to talk about an action that is complete. Example: "He saw two kids cross the street."
