Define 'Deviant Abnormality' Deviant Abnormality is when they differ or vary so markedly from social or cultural norms ‘governing’ behaviour that can reasonably (or legally) be considered inappropriate or unacceptable. Barely noticeable differences wouldn’t be considered deviant.
What are the six Approaches to defining Normality and Abnormality? Socio-Cultural Approach, Functional Approach, Historical Approach, Situational Approach, Statistical Approach and Medical Approach.
What is the difference between mental health and a mental health problem? Mental Health is a state of emotional and social well-being in which individuals realise their own abilities can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and contribute to their community, whereas a Mental Health Problems are problems that cause emotional, cognitive and behavioural difficulties that affect relationships and functioning in everyday life.
