How do the large thin ears of an elephant help its survival in a desert environment? The elephant's ears have a large SA:V so they can lose heat efficiently.
Define innate behaviour Innate behaviour is genetically determined and is essentially the same in all members of the species.
Define imprinting A form of irreversible learning occuring during the early stages of an animals life.
How do desert animals reduce their waterloss through urine? They produce more concentrated urine, therefore their loop of Henles' are generally longer.
