Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta Historically and culturally part of the Central Java region, although it is now a separate administrative entity. Garuda A large mythical bird, bird-like creature, or humanoid bird that appears in both Hindu and Buddhist mythology. Garuda is the vehicle of the Lord Vishnu.
Istana Negara & Istana Merdeka Two palaces in the same complex located between Veteran street and North Medan Merdeka street in Central Jakarta, they have a total area of 68,000 m˛. The Istana Negara was formerly used as the President's Office.
MONAS = Monumen Nasional A 132 m (433ft) tower in the centre of Merdeka Square, Central Jakarta, symbolizing the fight for Indonesia. It is the national monument of the Republic of Indonesia, built to commemorate the struggle for Indonesian independence.
DUFAN = Dunia Fantasi Jakarta's own theme park complete with over 30 rides and attractions. Dufan is owned by Indosat Group. The theme park is divided into eight regions which are Jakarta, Indonesia, Asia, Africa, America, Europe, and Fantasi Hikayat (Legendary Fantasy) region featuring Ancient Greece and Ancient Egypt architecture.
Taman Impian Jaya Ancol Ancol Dreamland is an integral part of Ancol Bay City, a resort destination located along Jakarta's waterfront.
Kebun Raya Bogor A botanical garden located in Bogor, Indonesia, 60 km south of Jakarta. The gardens are in the city center and adjoin the Istana Bogor (Presidential Palace). The gardens cover more than 80 hectares.
Istana Bogor one of 6 Presidential Palaces in Indonesia. The palace is noted for its distinctive architectural, historical, features, as well as the adjoining botanical gardens. Istana Bogor was opened to the public in 1968 to public tour groups (not individuals), with the permission of the then President of Indonesia, Suharto. The number of visitors annually is approximately 10,000 people. The gardens of the palace have an area of 284,000 square metres (28.4 hectares).
Puncak Literally translates to Peak, is a weekend getaway that has beautiful view of tea plantation. Located about 100 KM South of Jakarta, West Java, Indonesia, Puncak swarms with hotels and mountain resorts.
Menteng A new urban design developed in the 1910s to become a residential area for Dutch people and high officials. Supported by easy access to service centers and nearby to the central business district, this area has become one of the most expensive areas for residential real estate in Jakarta. Several important people such as former president Suharto take up residence in Menteng. The architecture style of Menteng residential area was known as "Indies" or "Indo-European".
Taman Bunga Nusantara Public park, with flower gardens from around the world, maze, giant clock and a tower. It has been created over 23 hectares with flora from around the world that will grow well in tropical Puncak.
Taman Safari Indonesia Zoo, with car safari trail that allows cars and tourist buses to see and/or feed elephants, zebras, goats, hippos and more, hiking trails, petting zoo.
