Tracking Thread | Cheap, weak, cotton thread that can be removed without hurting fabric. few colors in gauge of 40 to 50. 50 good for light weight fabric only (weak). |
Tracing Wheel and Paper | Carbon paper and wheel are used to transfer patterns to fabric. Good only for heavy materials as wheel is spiked. NOT for pale colors, thin cotton or glazed fabric. |
Tailors Chalk | for temporary marking, white removes more easily than color |
Beeswax | For waxing thread when sewing buttons |
small scissors | cutting threads, trimming, snipping fabric |
Buttonhole scissors | fitted with a screw to regulate the length of a hole slash |
Pinking shears | zigzag edge for finished seams for heavy non-fraying fabric to prevent bulking |
