What is a common problem with client-architect communications? | The Client has belief in the Architect and as an act of faith in the Architect's professional ability. The Architect utilizes graphics to communicate the project. The architect may not realize when there is a lapse of communication. It will not become apparent until some time later when the project is under construction. The Owner whom may not be graphically literate only then realizes or 'sees' the 3D implications, and at that point may have issues. |
When will the USA go metric? | The US Federal Government began using Metric in 2000. Private Industry has yet to follow. |
What goes on drawings and what is included in specifications? | Drawings express information graphically by means of diagrams, such as sizes, gauges, proportions, interrelationships, arrangements, locations and dimensions, used to express quantity. Specifications are used to convey information through words such as descriptions, standards, guarantees, procedures, and manufacturers names. Specification describe quality. |
