Pregunta Respuesta
Mode The most common number in a set of numbers. 1, 2, 2, 3, 4, 5 The mode is 2 because it is the most frequent number in the set of numbers.
Median The number that appears in the middle of a set of numbers. You must first order in size the set of numbers 1, 2, 2, 3, 4, 5 The median of this set of numbers is 2.5 because it is directly between the numbers 2 and 3.
Mean The mean is the most commonly used average and can be calculated by collected the set of numbers, adding them together and dividing by the total number of numbers in a set. 1, 2, 2, 3, 4, 5 1 + 2 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 = 17 There are 6 numbers in the set so the mean is 17 / 6.
Range The difference between the smallest and largest number in a set of numbers. 1, 2, 2, 3, 4, 5 The smallest number is 1 and the largest number is 5 so the range is equal to 5 - 1 = 4.
