Pregunta Respuesta
What can force do? Force can make an object to start moving, speed up, slow down, stop moving, change direction or even change its shape.
Who is Isaac Newton? He is scientist whom discovered white lights consisting many colours and that gravity is a force that effects all objects on Earth.
When did Isaac Newton formulated three laws of motion? 1687
What is the Newton's law? The Newton's laws are laws created by Isaac Newton to describe the laws of motion.
What is Newton's first law? An object will remain at rest unless an unequal force acts upon it.
What is Newton's second law? Acceleration will produce when a force acts on a mass. The greater the mass, the greater the force is required to move it.
What is Newton's third law? For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
When a force doubled, what happens to the acceleration? When double the amount of force is acting on it, the acceleration will be doubled.
What is the examples of Newton's first law? When a car travelling at 60km/h suddenly came to a complete stop, the occupants will still travel at 60km/h.
What is the example of Newton's second law? When a small boy pushes a car by himself, the car will tend to stay at rest, but when two adults pushes the car, it will start move forward.
What is the example of Newton's third law? When a nail is hit by a hammer, it will exerts an equal force back upon the hammer.
How do you calculate the total force that has acted upon an object? Force = Mass x Acceleration
How do you calculate the acceleration of an object? Acceleration = Force / Mass
How do you calculate the mass of an object? Mass = Force / Acceleration
What is inertia? It is the tendency to resist any change in motion.
If a car has 7,000 newtons of driving force and friction from the road and air, is it in motion or at rest? The car would not be moving.
What is there is no friction acting on an object in motion? The object would stay in motion forever. For example a spacecraft called Voyager I.
What happen when all the forces are balanced? The object will stay still.
What is the reaction of a cannonball being shot? The cannon would go back due to recoil with the same force of the ammunition that was shot.
Calculate the acceleration of a car having 3000 newtons forward and 600 newtons due to friction. 3000 - 600 = 2400 N to the right. 2400/1200 = 2m/s2
