The offer must be certain Guthing v Lynn [1831] - If the terms are too vague then it cannot be an offer.
The offer can be by any method Could be in writing, verbally or even by conduct - for example, taking an item to a till.
The offer can be made to anybody Carlill v Carbolic Smoke Ball Company [1893] (advertisement) - Can be to a named individual, a group of people or even the whole world.
The offer must be communicated (the person has to be aware of the offer) If a person is unaware of the offer (especially with 'reward' posters) then they cannot later claim to have accepted it.
The offer must still be open when it is accepted There are several ways it can end...(this will be in another set)
