What were the facts of the Plessy vs Fergurson?	On June 7, 1982, Homer Plessy boarded a car of the East Louisiana railroad designated for white patrons only. Even though he was 7/8th white and 1/8th black under Louisiana state law he was classified as an African american, thus required to sit in the "coloured" car. When he refused to move, he was arrested and jailed.
